Veldskoen Rally is offering one brand-new QJ SRT 900 in a live promotional draw at Klerksdorp Dam. The current route is to purchase an eligible Full Throttle weekend access pass for R500. The pass includes rally access, camping and one automatic QJ draw entry, but the ticket must be validated at the event. The draw is scheduled for 20:00 on Saturday, 26 September 2026, and the selected entrant must be physically present. A day pass does not qualify.

Is the QJ SRT 900 draw real?

Yes. Veldskoen Rally publishes a dedicated ticket page, FAQ and QJ-specific Terms and Conditions. These official pages name the prize, qualifying pass, venue, draw time, random-selection process and presence requirement. The QJ-specific rules say the verified random-number-generator process will be overseen by an independent auditor.

How to enter the Veldskoen Rally QJ draw

Buy the eligible weekend access passThe current Full Throttle pass costs R500. The earlier R450 Ignition Edition release is shown as closed.
Keep the ticket and unique QR codeYou can present the ticket on your phone or as a printed copy. The organiser recommends saving it before travelling.
Attend Veldskoen Rally at Klerksdorp DamThe event runs from 24 to 27 September 2026. Camping is included with an eligible weekend pass, but entrants bring their own equipment.
Validate the ticket at the gateThe QJ-specific terms state that entry becomes valid only after successful ticket validation at the event. Each QR code can be scanned only once.
Keep the ticket and wristbandAn official wristband is issued at check-in. Bring the winning access ticket to the draw and keep the wristband securely attached.
Be at the Main Stage before 20:00Arrive early enough to hear the announcement. Presence elsewhere at the rally may not be enough if you cannot report within the published response window.

Do not buy a day pass expecting a draw entryThe R250 Day Access ticket includes one-day admission only. The official FAQ explicitly says it does not include camping, the badge or entry into the QJ SRT 900 draw.

What can you win?

The prize is described in the QJ-specific rules as one brand-new QJ SRT 900 supplied in standard form, without modifications or customisation unless expressly stated. The general competition rules publish an approximate value of R181,500 and refer to a 2026 model. The dedicated rules say it will have a full tank at handover, but delivery is not included.

The campaign pages generally call the prize “QJ SRT 900” rather than guaranteeing the precise SX specification shown in every promotional image. Confirm the exact derivative at handover.

Who can enter?

The QJ-specific Terms open entry to people aged 18 or older who purchase a valid Ignition Edition or Full Throttle access pass. The general Veldskoen Rally competition rules also require a valid South African identity document or passport and exclude directors, members, employees and agents of the promoter and their immediate families.

A valid South African Code A motorcycle licence is required at prize handover. That is different from saying every attendee needs such a licence merely to buy a rally pass. However, a person who wins must satisfy the handover requirement before the motorcycle is released.

How much does entry cost?

The current qualifying purchase is the R500 Full Throttle weekend access pass. It is not a separate raffle ticket: the purchase provides full-weekend rally access, camping, an official badge and one automatic entry into the QJ draw. Earlier R450 Ignition Edition passes also qualify, but that early-bird release is closed.

The general rules previously offered no-purchase entry during two limited weekends in March and April 2026. Those windows have passed. The current official route shown to the public is the qualifying access pass.

Important dates and deadlines

Rally opens 24 September 2026 at 08:00
Safer purchase/validation cutoff Before 16:00 on 26 September 2026, because the general rules publish this earlier time
QJ-specific sales cutoff 17:00 on 26 September 2026
Live draw 20:00 on 26 September 2026, Main Stage
Prize-claim period Within 14 days of the draw announcement
Maximum holding period One calendar month from prize confirmation, subject to the specific rules
Rally closes 27 September 2026 at 15:00
Two closing times are currently publishedThe dedicated QJ terms and ticket page say sales close at 17:00, while the general promotional rules say the competition ends at 16:00. The safe approach is to purchase and validate well before 16:00 and ask the organiser for written clarification if timing is critical.

How is the winner chosen?

Each eligible entry receives a randomised six-digit draw number. The QJ-specific terms say the winning entry will be selected using a verified random-number-generator process under independent auditor oversight. The draw takes place live on the Main Stage.

The FAQ says the selected number is called three times and the entrant has two minutes to report. If the entrant is not present or fails to report within the allowed window, an immediate redraw takes place. The auditor’s confirmation is described as final and binding.

Do I need to be present to win?

Yes. This is the defining rule of the QJ competition. The entrant must be physically present at Veldskoen Rally at the time of the announcement and able to report to the Main Stage. Do not confuse this with the separate Hayabusa draw, whose selected entrant does not need to be present.

Can I enter more than once?

The organiser’s pages currently conflict. The dedicated QJ Terms say each access pass equals one entry and place no limit on the number of passes one person may purchase. The FAQ, however, says one QJ entry is issued per eligible person and duplicate entries are not permitted.

Do not pay for extra passes solely to multiply entries without confirmationAsk Veldskoen Rally to confirm in writing whether multiple passes bought in one person’s name will create multiple valid QJ entries. The article does not treat extra entries as guaranteed while both statements remain published.

What happens if you win?

The selected entrant must present the winning access ticket and satisfy verification. The prize is not transferable and no cash alternative is offered. The winner must hold a valid South African Code A motorcycle licence at handover and claim the prize within 14 days of the announcement.

The motorcycle is held at a designated location confirmed by the promoter. The dedicated rules allow a maximum of one calendar month from prize confirmation for collection. If paperwork is complete but collection is delayed, the winner must arrange and provide proof of valid insurance before release.

Important rules people might miss

  • A ticket purchase alone is not enough; successful event validation is required.
  • The current Full Throttle pass qualifies, but Day Access and children’s tickets do not.
  • Each QR code can be used only once at the entrance.
  • The winning number must be answered in person at the Main Stage.
  • The ticket and wristband should be retained throughout the event.
  • The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
  • A Code A motorcycle licence is required at handover.
  • The winner is responsible for insurance, licensing, registration and collection costs.
  • Breaking event rules, fraud or false information can result in disqualification.

Is entering worth it?

The pass is most sensible for someone who already wants the full rally weekend, camping and entertainment. The QJ entry is an included benefit, but spending R500 only for a chance at the motorcycle may not be good value for someone who cannot attend the rally or remain near the stage for the draw.

The total number of verified entries is not fixed in the published rules, so meaningful odds cannot be calculated. Presence reduces the valid winner pool to people who attend and respond, but it does not justify claims of “easy” or “great” odds.
