What can you win?

The campaign advertises 20 Suzuki Swift 1.2 GL manual hatchbacks. Meat World’s vehicle page lists a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, 60 kW, 112 Nm, a five-speed manual gearbox and claimed fuel use of 4.4 L/100 km. The Swift is a compact five-door car suited to commuting, school runs and everyday urban driving.

The terms state that the final specification, colour, branding, accessories, dealer allocation and model-year details can vary with supply. Promotional pictures are illustrative, and the handover vehicle may carry reasonable mileage from transport, branding, display, inspections or campaign activity.

Who can enter?

Eligible entrants must be South African citizens or legal residents, be at least 18 years old on the entry date and hold a valid South African driver’s licence. The promoter may ask for proof of age, identity, residence and licence before awarding a car.

People connected to the promoter or administration of the campaign are excluded, including listed directors, members, partners, employees, agents, franchisees, consultants, suppliers, service providers and auditors, along with their immediate family members. The terms also exclude people convicted of fraud or dishonesty-related offences.

How are finalists and winners selected?

Each participating Meat World store is scheduled to hold a finalist selection on 1 October 2026, or on a later date published by the promoter. A customer who is not an entrant is asked to draw 10 forms from the branch’s official entry box or designated vehicle. The selected finalist forms are sealed, sent to the promoter’s head office and distributed to Jacaranda FM.

Jacaranda FM is scheduled to select five winners per day from 6 to 9 October 2026. Finalists may be contacted beforehand and should listen between 06:00 and 19:00. The official campaign phrase is “I want to Meat my new wheels”, unless the promoter announces an amended phrase. The rules state that an unanswered live call does not automatically trigger a redraw; the originally selected entry remains subject to verification and may be contacted directly through the relevant store.

What documents can a winner be asked for?

Verification documents

  • Valid South African ID document or passport.
  • Proof of residence not older than three months.
  • Valid South African driver’s licence.
  • Original qualifying proof of purchase.

Acceptance documents

  • Signed prize acceptance paperwork.
  • Indemnity and vehicle-branding agreement.

The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. The terms say the winner is responsible for fuel, traffic fines, insurance after the first 30 days, maintenance, services, repairs, wear items, licence-renewal fees after initial registration, tracking subscriptions and accessories not specifically included.

Before accepting the prize, the winner should ask Meat World to confirm the exact model-year specification, branding requirements, first-30-day insurance arrangements, registration status, recorded mileage and handover location in writing.

Rules people may miss

  • The minimum R500 spend must be in one transaction.

  • Every extra entry needs a separate qualifying purchase and form.
  • A valid South African driver’s licence is an eligibility requirement.
  • The campaign closes at 18:00, not at midnight, on 30 September.
  • The store finalist draw and the live radio winner process are separate stages.
  • Finalists should monitor their phone and Jacaranda FM from 6 to 9 October.
  • The exact vehicle specification and colour can differ from promotional artwork.
  • The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.

Is it worth entering?

For an eligible shopper already planning a Meat World purchase of at least R500, the entry adds a chance to win a practical new hatchback without a separate competition fee. There are 20 advertised prizes, and the branch-based finalist process spreads the campaign across participating stores.

Do not spend more than you planned only for another entry. Odds are not published, and every submission still has to survive receipt, eligibility and identity checks.
